The Lahore education board has finalized preparations to introduce an E-Sheet (electronic answer sheet) system for Class 9 and 10 examinations, particularly for Computer Science papers.
Under the new system, students’ answer sheets will be scanned and checked online. Examiners will mark papers digitally from their homes, which will save time and improve transparency in the examination process.
One Examiner Per Question
According to sources, each examiner will check only one question. For example, if a paper contains five questions, five different examiners will mark them separately. Officials believe this method will reduce marking errors and eliminate bias.
Structured Answer Writing Required
Students will have to write answers according to the assigned question numbers on the E-Sheet to ensure smooth scanning and accurate online marking.
Improved Transparency and Record Keeping
The board secretary said the new system will improve marking standards and ensure transparent results. Since records will be stored online, complaints related to rechecking are also expected to decrease.
